How To Avoid Google Supplemental Index Results

AdSense Tips, Search Engine Optimization 3 Comments »

Google’s supplemental hell..err…index is a place you do not want your site to end up in. Google’s supplemental index is basically sites that Google feels are second rate, are duplicate content or just basically results that they do not like.

Supplemental results can still rank for some keywords but in most cases they will not show up for any searches that have a lot of results. They will only show up for very obscure queries. So, how do you avoid Google supplemental index?

The first step is to find out which of your sites pages are in the supplement results. To do this just do a search on Google for your site…

site:www.YourDomain.com

Then scroll through the results until you find pages that have “Supplemental Result” listed next to them. See picture below…

How to Get Out Of the Supplement Index

To help get your pages out of the supplemental index the first thing you want to do is to make sure that your pages do not have duplicate content. If you are using articles off article directories you could have problems with duplicate content.

However, the worst kind of duplicate content is inter-site duplicate content. You never want to have the same content on more than one page of your site. So make sure each page of your site have completely unique content.

Another culprit can be how you present your pages. All of the following lead to the same page: yoursite.com; www.yousite.com; www.yoursite.com/index.html. But they can be looked at as different pages by Google. Make sure to be consistent with how you present your pages. Pick one way and stick to it.

Next you need to start getting more links to any page that is listed in the Google’s supplemental results. Start using link directories, article submissions, swap links, whatever it takes.

However, in many cases links from your own site can do the trick also. Try linking from pages on your site that are not in the SI to pages that are in the SI. This will give some some extra PR juice and help them to look more relevant.

In many cases I have been able to easily pull pages out of Google’s supplemental index simply by linking to those pages from the homepage of my site. You homepage, in most cases, will have the most PageRank and by simply passing some on to the pages in your site that are in the SI you can pull them out.

Remember, that it will take some time to see results but sticking to these tips you should be able to avoid Google supplement index.

How To Organize Your AdSense Keywords and Web Site

AdSense Tips No Comments »

It is crucial to organize your AdSense keywords in order for you to layout the design and structure of your site. This will help a ton when it comes time to set up the design of your site.

For this just look through your keywords for reocurring themes. For example, if I was doing “dog training”, I might sort my keywords into the following groups:

1. Dog training equipment

2. House Training dogs

3. Potty training dogs

4. Dog obedience training

5. Puppy training

I would then go through all my keywords and file them into one of the 5 categories above. These 5 categories would then be the navigational menu for my site.

It is simple and will save you a ton of time in the long run.

How To Register A Domain Name and Get Hosting

AdSense Tips No Comments »

Here’s a how-to for purchasing a domain name and get hosting for your site. When it comes to getting a domain name your first focus should be on getting your main keyword in your domain. This will give you a slight edge in rankings and certainly will not hurt your efforts.

The one thing to avoid is getting too crazy with your keywords. You want a short and simple domain and you want to avoid keyword stuffing. For example, if my main keywords were “dog training” and “puppy training” I wouldn’t go and register a domain like: www.dog-training-puppy-training-dog-obedience.com. Ok, so that may be overkill but you get the idea.

Instead I want to get a domain with dog training in it but I also want it to be short and to the point. Try to limit your hyphens to 1 or possibly 2 if needs be. After a quick check at Godaddy I found www.WiseDogTraining.com. It has my main keyword, it’s a .com (which I suggest you stick with) and it makes sense and is easy to remember. I get all my domais from Godaddy and have never had a single problem. They are cheap and have great customer service.

Get you domain name

Once you have your domain picked out, you will then need a place to host it. For all of my personal websites I use 1 hosting company and that is Host Gator. For $10 you can have a hosting account in which you can host unlimited sites with email and all the bells and whistles. Host Gator also offers the Fantastico suite which makes installing a Wordpress blog (which we will be doing later) very easy with just a couple clicks.

If you order a Host Gator account through the my affiliate link below I will setup up your account for you. If you are a beginner or unfamiliar with the process it will save you a lot of headaches. Just follow the link below and then send me your receipt number and I will set up your account and install your Wordpress blog for you.

Those two steps should only take you a couple hours at most.

How Many AdSense Sites Do You Have?

AdSense Tips No Comments »

I often get asked by my subscribers, “How many AdSense sites should
I build?”

Before, I answer the question lets think about it for a minute.

To have a successful site you need to continually add unique
content, gain links to your site, submit articles, get listed in
directories, seek out other sites in your niche and swap links, add
more content to your site, add a blog to your site, use social
networks…and so on.

It is a lot of work! How can anyone possibly do all of this for
each of their site if they own 20, 50 or even 100 sites?

You can’t.

I am sure you have heard the statistic that 80% of your results are
from 20% of your work.

The same holds true for AdSense sites. I just checked my stats
from last month and 82% of my AdSense income is from 3 of my sites.

Yes, just 3 sites.

And the reason for this is because I have been able to make these
sites…Authority Sites in my niches.

These 3 sites get 1000’s of visitors each and every day.

So the answer to the question is to start with only 1 site and
focus all of your energy into it. I guarantee you will have better
results than if you were to build 10 sites all at once.

If you build too many you are spreading yourself too thin and none
of your sites will get the attention that they need to be successful.

Once that sites reaches the level you want, THEN move on to another.

Of course, building an Authority Site is not easy and it takes times.

BUT…

There is a shortcut.

Authority Site Center gives you all the tools you need to start
building your own Authority site now.

They eliminate the need to know SEO, they actually BUILD your site
for your, they give you content, they give you hosting and detailed
instructions.

It is all-inclusive and it’s the easiest way to get started
building an Authority site now.
